the Living Water

Welcome to "To God Be The Glory", my name is Bill. I am a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am 35 years old, married with 3 children. My wife is Peggy, you can link to her page from my Links page. Be sure and visit her page or any other links that I have listed. Oh, and please, don't forget to sign my guest book.

I don't know if it is wrong to question my ability as a father, but I would rather be concerned with it than not care at all. I was raised in a Christian home and I want my children to be raised in a Christian home as well. When my son Robert was 6 years old, I was given ultimate privilege of leading him to the Lord. Robert had wanted to ask Jesus in his heart for some time and I was pushing it off until "I" felt he was ready.
Well, the Lord taught me something that night. When a person feels convicted to ask Jesus in his heart, that person is no more ready at 30 years old than he is at 6 years old. Robert felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit to become a Christian. He didn't want to die and go "live with the devil", as he put it. Can you imagine how hard it is to try and explain to someone why they can not ask Jesus into their heart? I was really at a loss for words. The Lord knows our hearts. We should let the Lord lead.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, then choose this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15

I put the spinning cross here to show us that no matter which side of the cross is showing that our Lord is not there. Jesus not only died on the cross, but, more importantly, He defeated Satan by rising from the grave. Jesus is alive today and will be for eternity. Let us praise His name.
